At AH Germiston, we stand rooted in purpose and soar with pride. Our top priority: replacing the aging asbestos pavilion with a safe, lasting space. This is about legacy—a place for learners now and for generations ahead. AHGies celebrates diversity, with over 85% English-speaking learners in a dual-medium school. Roots & Wings is our theme: grounded in values, reaching for possibility. We showcase local talent, student brilliance, and small business dreams.

This festival is more than fun—it’s a movement for progress and pride. With no government support, community action is our lifeline. We’re opening our gates to lasting partners, sponsors, and visionaries. Join us—because when we build for our children, we build for all.

Through the 2025 AHGies Roots & Wings CarniFest, we aim to:

Revive the spirit of Germiston Hoërskool and bring the carnival back after years of silence.

Reconnect students, alumni, families, and the wider community through music, laughter, food, and shared purpose.

Rise to the occasion of rebuilding our school—starting with a new, safe, and inspiring pavilion—and awaken a culture of giving, joy, and unity.

From world record attempts to a professionally timed fun run, Carnifest is packed with thrills! Enjoy a safe running route, live music, a cuddly petting zoo, local eats, craft drinks, and artisan stalls—something for every taste and tempo. It’s a full-on celebration for the whole family!
